i am designing a small box that will be made out of 6 panels, is there some website that i can order that parts from at good rates? something like "front panel designer" i guess.

try metal supermarkets, they will cut metal to your specific size and are cheaper than most places. You have to call a branch nearest you, mine is 1400 miles away and ships via ups, and its still cheap.
Only thing is they cut with a saw so accuracy is not very high (not even close to front panel express), you will have to drill, file and finish the pieces after you get them.

onlinemetals.com is pretty good as well but customs was expensive for me (canada)
there must be a local metal stock place to you. everyone needs to make stuff out of aluminium |

And it isn't even the taxes that cost a fortune, it is the "broker", "COD", and other bull... fees that the couriers charge for the privilege of doing the paperwork. Often the fees are in excess of $50 and can be many times more than the taxes collected. It's absurd. |
