Default Where to get a chassis in Canada or US?

Hiya all! Great forum here, and, great members

First off, I've searched the forums for days - I already found, but am not interested in: Hammond, Par-Metal, Parts Connexion and Mouser.

I'm just embarking on my first DIY project (LM3875), and am looking for a good chassis supplier, preferrably in Canada, if not, then in the US.

I'm looking specifically for the style of chassis pictured below. It's an ATI 645-T, but there is no way that I'm paying the $60USD for shipping that will take over a month...

Sorry to ask but where does that beautiful chassis comes from?
Do you have the website adress for this?
I'm amazed!

I have the link for that site bookmarked, but I can't seem to find it. I sent them a few email's and never got a response. I have been looking for good chassis's and have only found stuff in overseas. I would be happy if they answered me

The info on that chassis was posted here: Cases from Ati Research

cheeba,

I don't think your question has been answered.
Unfortunately I now live in the electronics wasteland of Michigan and no longer can find the great components I used to find easily in Silicon Valley.

I know this doesn’t answer your question; I am simply chiming in to state that I too am interested in quality/interesting enclosures.

I think building may be the only answer. However I still need heat sinks. Wood, I can deal with, metal is another question.

Okay, I've emailed the guy asking for some shipping costs on 5 or 10 of these. It really is a beautiful case, especially at only $65USD. Let's see if we can get the shipping to a reasonable figure

If anyone else is interested, post up. Here's a shot of it with a knob on it - such a clean look:

Body size : 322.58 w (12.7") X 73.66 h (2.9") X 406.40 d (16") ( 2 mm thickness )

Okay, unfortunately the 645-T is out of stock and will be for a while. However, ATI has offered me the 645-TH, which is the exact same chassis, but with a power switch installed (as pictured below). They are offering me this chassis at the same price as the 645-T, which is a bonus. I believe the 645-TH is normally about $10USD more than the 645-T.

I'm seriously wanting this chassis as I have heard people say they are great quality and you the price is obviously good, not to mention they are one of the nicest looking chassis that I've seen. Here is a break-down of the price we can get if we can account for 7 chassis total. 7 is the most that can be package into one shipping carton.

Here is a break-down of the price we can get, if we can account for 7 chassis (I'll take 1):

ATI 645-TH regular price: $75USD

We'd be getting it for the price of the 645-T, so that's:

$65USD

Minus 10% if we buy 7:

$58.50USD

Express shipping (5-7 days) for 7 units is $280USD. Divide by 7 = $40USD

So, $58.50USD for the chassi + $40USD for express shipping = $98.50USD = $113CAD

Not too bad, considering the original cost would have been $155CAD for shipping that would take a month or more, rather than a week!

If anyone else is interested, lemme know - I'm dying to get one of these! It would be great if we could find 7 people in Canada, to make re-shipping easier. The chassis are pretty light, so the re-shipping wouldn't cost very much. I know I'm new here, so if people want some reassurance that they aren't going to get scammed, they can check out my eBay feedback (100% ), I'll give out all my personal info, or whatever is necessary. If it's that much of an issue, a more well-known member can handle receiving the items.

Let's jump on these - I'm dying to get my first serious DIY project going (stereo LM3875)

Unless I'm loosing my eyesight as well as my mind, I don't see the picture.
