Default Is anyone familiar with this ALPS attenuator?

Does anyone know anything about this ALPS unit and how it might compare to a Black Beauty?

Thanks,

Hi,
I don't know the unit, but from reading the spec it is a switched attenuator that in general have a good reputation for sound quality.
It appears to be a ladder type with fairly good matching and accuracy.

If it meets the standards set by other switched types then it should better any Black Beauty.

The price posted at the moment seems attractive. Add postage and then compare it to retail.

good luck & if you get it, post your impressions.

KT,

I have an old Pioneer SX-1280 that died a while back. I used it for parts and saw the same attenuator in that unit.
