Anyone knows where you can buy cheap capacitors, min 47 000uF 25V?

I was afraid of that. It’s exactly what I’m using. So far I have I think broken 16 of these, as I have about 50VAC on each lead using this schematic: http://www.kk-pcb.com/power-x.html
I think I need more voltage.

steve at Apexjr has some 40V but only 36000uF. Smaller than you asked for but if they'll do after all then Steve's a great guy to do buisness with.

Hi Anders,
Could you say again the AC volts from your transformer?

If you really have 50Vac then you probably need 80Vdc capacitors.

I have 18VAC from the transformer. Wich is a bit strange. From the transformer 18VAC. After the caps 50VAC.
I have excellent pictures in my camera of the supply but I don't know how to attach them.

Hi,
18Vac + 18Vac in series will give just over 50Vdc.
