Can someone tell me the function of D7 in the Quad 606 schematic in the attached link http://quad405.com/606schematic.pdf

Quick guess is that it is there for biasing purposes.

quad is a challenge; weird circuit, poor signal flow in schematic
looks like d7 protects t9,10,11 from too much reverse base voltage - normally I would say it should only be a fault protection issue but the current dumping Qs do switch hard, t8? be junction should "catch" the drive signal with d6?(below d5) it also limits t8? drive and can limit output current in the low side output with r18?, 22 |
