I would like to know if someone know who are the real manufacturers for the potentiometers used in music gear (for example, like stomp boxes manufacturers like Boss, Digitech, etc., or even more professional equipment like Mackie, TC Electronics, etc.). I understand that many equipment manufacturers order custom potentiometers for their gear, but they do not manufacture the actual product (it is obvious that the pots are manufactured by contract by a real potentiometer manufacturer). What potentiometers brands are preferred for their rotational life? (mixers and stomp boxes are real abused). And when someones refers to Alpha potentiometers because of their high quality, what company really is? Alpha Products in the USA, or Alpha Taiwan?
