Default Where to find ceramic/Alu-oxide plates?

Hi,

could anyone tell me where I can obtain ceramic plates about 1 mm thick or so?

Hmm, saw them somewhere in koskenkorva-land...

Though I'm aware of them but a bit expensive for my taste.
Any other suggestions?
