Default Your take on shielded power cord with or with out ferrite noise surpressor?

For example...

Using this power cable,

would you throw one of these on each end like recommended for power cables?

Id rather not have it on the ground wire. Also, look into line rated capacitors.

Some thing like this with a $5 power cord will give you alot more bang for the buck...

Thanks guys. I totally agree with the notion not to have it on the ground wire, when I build my power cords (with or with out the components listed here) I will never include it in a ferrite magnet. I never thought about it, but it would be stupid to have it in the magnet, thank you for bringing up an excellent point.

The filters are snazy but I would prefer to build my own with high quality wire if I where to do so.
