I've tried Dynamicaps several times in my tube preamp with dramatically mixed results. I'm still trying to figure out how I got such divergent results.
Before I go into details, though, I wanted to hear how Dynamicaps have worked for other folks. For an interesting read, here are two very positive reviews of Dynamicaps: On the Positive Feedback article, scroll down until you see the Dynamicap review by Mark Katz. http://tinyurl.com/brklm http://tinyurl.com/agsb4 Best, KT |

My Audire Forte S.S. power amp now has the .33uF /425V Dynamicaps as input coupling caps and they sound absolutely amazing!!! They replaced Infinicaps and are a dramatic improvement over them. The original caps were black widow electrolytics, which were not very good-sounding, and then some ASC film caps which were a little better, and then the Infinicaps, which were much better...but the Dynamicaps are a giant improvement over them; very very impressive.
I recently traded in my Audio Research LS2B preamp on the LS16 Mark II, which was a very great sonic improvement, and the new Dynamicaps gave at least an equal improvement in system sound to the preamp upgrade. My system is really sounding fine now. (For reference, I also am using Vandersteen 3A speakers with Vandersteen 2 subs and the early Sony CDP777 SACD player). |
