Got some odd looking caps...

i got these with a box of other stuff today and they look different to all the other capacitors I've had. Anyone know why? what they were for? any good for audio?

They look like motor run oil caps of some sort to me. They should be quite tough and probably have some variety of polypropylene dielectric. Should be good for 1,000VDC. Lots of people like to use these sorts of caps in audio, both in power and signal applications.

Are they worth much?

Not really. They can be had new <$20 (dont know about this particular model, but in general), and these sorts of caps are readily available surplus.
