I have a problem with my CD player. It is a CDM4/31 type mounted in B&O Beocenter 8000.
It plays perfectly for apporx. 30 minutes. After that the sound distorts and crackling sound occurs. Does anyboy have an idea wht the problem can be? Thanks, Thomas |

I have alreay cleaned the lens. It does not make any difference.
Karma: Are there any particular caps and IC's which go bad more often. I'm not an expert on these players, so your help is more then welcome. Thomas |

If the crackling you hear can alternatively be described as distortion, then the likely case is that you need the laser replaced. My Rotel RCD-(something) did something similar. Replacing the laser assembly fixed it.
