Default How to test for broken chip (TDA1541A)?

Hello,

unfortunately, my TDA1541A is gone quiet. How can I test if its gone or if something other is not right? The receiver circuit works when feeding a TDA1543. Also the output stage has worked at least one time together with the 1541, so now I blame the chip. I have no spare one to compare.

Thanks,
theduke

Could I have exited the chip with switching power on and off repeatedly with a few seconds on and off time? How else could I fry such a chip? Is ESD likely? I usually dont touch the legs and think I haven't done it here.

Thanks anyone who might have a pointer.
