I have had success building a heatsink using aluminum stock from a local homecenter. By alternating the 1-1/2" wide 1/16th" stuff with the 1/2" wide 1/8th" thick stock, you can build a sink as large as your application necessitates. You just have to sandwich your output devices between one of the layers.
I was able to sink the heat for a 300wrms car amp with this method. |
