Hi,
At the moment I am collecting parts for my AlephX. For the power supply I want to use Nichicon KG series capacitors. The capacitors that I need must be Nichicon KG series 15000uF and 50V or 63V. In total I need 20 of them. According to the Nichicon catalog the capacitors part numbers are; LKG1H153MLZ (KG series 50V/15000uF gold tune) LKG1H153MLZS (KG series 50V/15000uF super trough) LKG1J153MLZ (KG series 63V/15000uF gold tune) LKG1J153MLZS (KG series 63V/15000uF super trough) The only problem at the moment is to get the capacitors. The only store I could find was PercyAudio (www.percyaudio.com). At PercyAudio Nichicon 15000uF/63V KG gold costs $29,95 and Nichicon 15000uF/63V KG super costs $34,95. I there anybody who knows a store where I can get them cheaper? Marco Ensing |

There may be a way to get them cheaper.
Find a Marantz repair shop in the 'big city'. Find out which Marantz has the parts you need. Have the repair folks order them for you. After you find out the price per, that is. Might be cheaper..might not.

KMH is Nippon Chemicon, 105c, general purpose. They're reasonably good caps, but nowhere close to Nichicon Muse KG in sonics for most uses in the signal path. YMMV for power bypass - it may not be signficantly audibly distinct from Nichicon KG for that putpose.
