Hello all!
I come here for help. I have a brand new 2AP1 CRT on the shelf, that i used on a oscilloscope design (failed ) based on a schematic i found somewhere.Could you help where to find information/schematics, to learn or for a simple way of giving it life, yet doing something "usefull"? Thank you very much! |

First of all you have to give it voltage, read up on CRT circuits and find a datasheet if you can. Once you get a beam going, without deflection it'll be in the center of the screen. Apply differential voltages to the deflection plates (LTP, something like 12AU7, 6AU6, 12BY7, etc., or whatever low capacitance, linear, high voltage transistors you can come up with) and you've got X-Y control.
Add on a sweep generator, calibrated amplifiers and you've got an oscilloscope. ![]() Tim |
