Default usefull caps???

Hello there,

Is there anyone who can tell me screw caps with the following specs are usefull for us, audioDIY people?

Perhaps for using in power supplies?

They are the white Rifa caps with the following specs:

RIFA
0001 / 411973
PEA169MV533AQ
63VDC
-10% / +30%
-45 DEGREES C / +105 DEGREES C

They are 15 cm high and has a diamter of 7,5 cm.

I can buy these new old stock but do not know they are good or usefull

It depends a bit how long they have been lying on the shelf.
What capacity are they? I'm thinking Aleph2...

Sorry that i did not wrote the capacity.

They are 33.000 uF.

How long they were on stock? i do not know. Can't that be read from the codes on the caps?

Hmm...six or eight times 33.000µF/63V would be a good match for a nice class A amp.

Some Rifa caps have a shelf life of 4 years, some 10 years.

I couldn't find the PEA series so I looked at PEH.

There are some threads here at the forum how to power up older caps but the basic rule is slow.

If I read the date code 0001 correctly, they are 4 or 5 years old. If the price is right, I would consider them.

A better reading of the codes on the caps says that they are the PEH169 serie, and not the PEA serie. Sorry.

Any interest for 10 euro each +shipping? I can buy a large lot off them.

Thanks for your info guys!

For what i read and hear from these monsters, i think i buy a large lot off them. If anybody want them too, please mail me, because i have to buy more than i can use (the 10 euro each is only if i buy minimum 64 of them).

Hi,
firm up the postage on lots of 4 and 8. and make sure you cover your packaging costs.
then offer them in trading.
I think they will go fast.
try to find the ripple current and esr spec for them. They could be very good.
I already have my caps but I wish I was still in the market.
