Toroids in Toronto

Some of you in the Toronto area might be interested in
this. I was in Active Surplus yesterday and they had maybe
10-15 small ILP toroidal transformers. They look unused
and most were in boxes. From what I can tell, they
have single 117VAC primary and dual secondaries.
I remember seeing these transformers:

160VA 2x35VAC
120VA 2x26VAC
160VA 2x40VAC

There might be others as well. Price was $10+tax each.

I went by Active Surplus again yesterday and picked
up a scrap battery charger. Inside is a 927 VA
toroidal transformer with a single 120V primary.
There are 44-0-44 centre-tapped and 0-12 secondaries.

They had 4 or 5 of these chargers. Price was $35.

I saw in Active Surplus yesterday four toroidal
transformers. They had two each of the following:

Single 120V primary, 39-0-39 , ~500VA ($20)

Single 120V primary, 40-0-40, ~700VA ($25)

geez, those are pretty good deals assuming they're well made transformers. you should buy them and sell em on ebay. that's what i'd do anyway

I was in the neighbourhood yesterday and stopped in the store.
Someone already bought the 500VA pair.

Wonder if they'll show up here or on ebay...

I took a 700VA guy and weighted in at a scale in the store
and it was something like 15 or 16 pounds.
