Hi there,
which CCS do you consider sonically best at the the tail of a cascoded LTP? It should give 20 - 60mA depending on chosen incarnation. At the moment I use a cascoded fet/bjt CS with battery ref.voltage. I'm well aware ccs is often discussed here. I really like to hear about sonic differences, e.g. between relativly simple pass-like cs vs. complicated 4-tranisstor approaches. Rüdiger |

Hi,
do you really mean >20mA? 500uA to 6mA is more common for the tail of an LTP.

No, I mean it. Think of a LTP with paralleld devides like in the pearl phono stage or the borbely phono designs,
thanks, Rüdiger |
