fuse question

I'm ashamed to ask this, but....:D
I'm making a circuit following a schematic where 2A fuse is used with the line voltage of 120 V. I don't know if I'll have to use 250V/2A fuse or 250V/1A. I can't find any fuse with 120V rating. Does the voltage rating matter when we choose a fuse?
Thanks in advance.

Yes. The rating meens that the fuse safely can break a circuit with MAX the rated voltage. If the fuse is rated for a lower voltage you may have a "ljusbåge" and the fuse never breaks the circuit.

Ljusbåge = blue white plasma, lightning, spark, don't have the english word

It's no harm with a fuse which has lower current rating. If your gear works and the fuse never breaks, then it's OK.
