Default question on amp

hey all, i have a PA amp, that my mate managed to overload somehow... he had the volume distorting sooo much that the main fuse in the amp blew!! he asked me if i can look at it, and it's been sitting in my wardrobe for a while now but i have no idea what to do with it. everything looks okay in it, it doesnt smell like any compnents have burnt out at all, so thats okay. but what would someone recommend? was this just an overload due to volume right to the max or might he have done some major damnage somehow. i would go out and get the fuses to try it out, but im not going to do that unless someone here had simialr experiences or knows what to do. thanx all

I find that the most common cause of "unkown faults" in electrical gear is blown fuses. As nothing looks damaged inside just replace the fuse and chances are the amp will work again.
