Is this scope defective? See pics

Looks like the problem is that you have the sweep module plugged into a verticle amplifier slot! Put the sweep module into the right slot and a vert amplifier into the left slot. Not sure what that other module you have on the left is. With my scope I couldn't get any response with the sweep module plugged into the center slot. shown in the next photo. I have 2- 7A26 vert. modules and one 7B53 sweep module in my scope.

These things are really works of art inside! I ought to buy a few just to frame and hang on the wall .

Be sure to keep your intensity down till you get it working... burn't phosphor is nasty.....

Well I gues im all wet . Did it work when you switched the modules ?
It still seemed that there was no horizontal deflection from the picture

Are these modules form your 7904? If these came with the scope then the sweep module may be bad. You can take one of the sweep midules from your 7904 and use it in this scope to see. The good thing is that the on screen readout is working and thats a sign that the deflection circuits are working....were they not then there would be no readout...... I suspect the mainframe is good and the sweep midule(on the right) is bad. How do you have the controls set...... both on the mainframe and on the sweep module?

7904 modules seem to work fine. I switched the 7633 7A26 and it worked in the 7904. More in a sec

Yea, put the 7A26 in the left compartment nd the sweep in the right compartment. Leave out that odball module till we figure out what it is...... I saw that scope on E-Bay...... Do you have a link to that auction?
