which is lowest noise bipolar?

two years ago i bought 5000 pcs BC550b and about 2000 BC560b, after many amps, effects, and other stuff i make, i am
starting to wander what is low noise? javascript:smilie('

so, what is actually lowest noise (and best) bipolar transistor for
audio applications?

Hi,
550 & 560 are lo noise. There are lower noise available but all of them are much more expensive than bulk buying 550/560.
The topology and impedance will have a great influence on the effective noise output from your power amp.
Aim to keep LTP current high and resistances around the LTP and NFB area low to achieve lowish noise. Maybe a bootstrapped input to bring the input impedance back up to an acceptable value.
