Has anyone tried a new cap called VCaps, offered in a Teflon and an oil cap? I read good reviews but they are on the company web site, so you dont get any other opinions.

I just bought a set for coupling in my amp and preamp. Very expensive and spectacular improvement over my MIT film and foil polystyrenes--and it was evident right away. Far more open, more bass, etc.
One interesting point. When you receive them, you get a posting advising to put the outer foil at the output of the signal, as opposed to the conventional practice of putting it at the input. I followed convention with the MITs, but after some time consuming soldering and resoldering, I have found that putting the outer foil on the output is far superior to conventional practice. At least that's so in my preamp. I haven't reversed them in the power amp. No regrets. None from this purchase, but I must add that I went right from 12 year old MITs to these. I haven't tried anything else in the last 8 years or so. If many cheapers caps out there are just as good as the V's I wouldn't know.

Chris' caps are the best thing I've heard.
