Help with Resistor Please

Hi,

I'm trying to determine the manufacturer of this resistor. There are no markings on it. Measured characteristics:

Length = .221"/5,6 mm
Diameter = .069"/1,8 mm
Resistance = 42.2 R

I'm concerned with the thermal characteristics (R vs. T) because of the intended location of this device and would like to be able to get some data from the manf., if possible.

Because of the 2 extening end pieces I would venture
a guess and say there made by IRC (International
Resistance Corp). Most of the resistors I've seen with
those end pieces have been made by them...

Either that, or they are Russian military resistors, I got a truckload of those and they look just like yours.

Why not just measure it? How you can possibly guess a resistor manufacturer by looking at it is beyond me - whats more, how will you know for sure which model you have?

Simpler just to measure its Tc! (ice point , boiling point - thats 100C differential right there! - should get a reasonable Tc measurement from that)
