Question Tranny: "Parallel" Secondaries

Hi!
I´ve got a big tranny (450VA) for a powersupply!
The Secondary voltage is 15V each. There are 6
secondarys!
The question is: What to to with the unneeded secondarys?
confused
Parallel it (with correct polarity, to lower resistance?)
or leave them unconnected?

Any suggestions, please!

Best wishes from Germany!

You can parallel them with good result (adding more current each time), however you need to make sure that they are all in fase when paralled.....

Thanks!
That were my thougts, too.
I was just wondering, because the lable only mentioned 2 Secondaries with 15V each (one is red- yellow and the other is blue- green)
Those windings exists 3 times each!

Bye, dobbeln

Hi,
or you could series link the secondaries giving 45Vac.
or parallel 1 pair at 15Vac and series the last at half current to give 15Vac hi current and 30Vac @lo current.
regards Andrew T.
