Is it true that Digikey.com doesn't sell National parts? Can't find any.

No, they do! 7353 items for "National Semiconductor".

OK, now I see but they don't sell any of those parts I searched for, like LM3886 and such.

Perhaps there is a problem with your browser? They do indeed sell LM3886T and TF...

I am using IE 6.

Digikey US: LM3886T-ND (850+ in stock) for the T or LM3886TF-ND (over 1200 in stock) for the insulated version.

I did only write LM3886 and got zero hits from dot com

Then there must be a browser related issue. When I search for LM3886 I get LM3886T and LM3886TF as results. In fact I think Digikey has one of the best parametric search tools of any major distributor, although their drill-down method can't begin to cope with the size of their catalog.

For instance try "fc 50v 10uF". You should get the four types of Panasonic FC electrolytics that they carry.

Ok, I used Mozilla 1.7... tested with IE, worked... typical.
