I'm getting ready to teach a class on this type of amplifer. The concern I have is that my students are very exacting. I just need some clarification on a particular point.
So here goes.

With the amp biased to just point of conducting and the configuration is such that there is a single input and two seperate outputs. As the input starts to increase will one output decrease and will the other output increase. If this is true is this due to the emitter current being constant but increases in one leg and decreases in the other?

Any thought provoking input will be greatly appericated.
