I've been looking for some Panasonic WM60/61 mic capsules but it looks like they are no-longer in production.
Does anyone know of a suitable alternative to these mics? Ta! |

I thought the MCE2000 was a panasonic capsule renamed by Monacor?
I can't find them either.

All the Panasonic capsules are about 6 or 7 mm across, so I suspect there probably won't be much difference in the response due to diaphragm/wavefront related issues. I'd even guess they're all pretty well flat up to 8 kHz or so simply because the things won't change the frequency response until their size is a significant fraction of the wavelength, modulo back chamber resonances which I also suspect is well above the region of interest.
Cheers, Francois. |

You are right, their search doesn't work very well
If you search for 'wm6' you get the 60, 62, 64, 65, 66 and 67. If you search for 'wm-6' you get the whole lot. Daft! I think I've found a source of the MCE2000. |

Can anyone actually verify that the Monacor MCE200 and the Panasonics are indeed the same breed? Anyone done any measurements/caibrations that care to comment?
