I would like to use an iron core or large air core inductor used in low pass filters for woofers as a power supply choke filter. This would be cheaper than a special made choke. Of course, it would be low DCR. Here are some parameters:
Max Voltage: 55VDC
Nominal Current: 2 ADC
Max Current: 10 ADC
Inductance: 1mH to 10mH (haven't decided)
Sorry, but I am having problems presenting a schematic. Basically it is:
Bridge Rectifier-- Filter Cap--Inductor(choke)--Filter cap--Output
Pi network filter. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
