I'm getting together all the parts for my Elliott P101 and I've come around to the 2SK1058 / 2SJ162. These MOSFETS are fairly expensive at around 12.00 each.
Can anyone help me find a cheaper source of these L-MOSFETS. I'm going to need 4 of the 2SK1058 and 4 of the 2SJ162 so at the normal price they would cost around $100 total. I have found them for $8.00/$8.80 USD respectively at Ampslab.com so that may be the best way to good. Please help. |

Hi,
Check out this guy, I recently bought transistors from here, great service, great prices, hard to beat... http://www.tech-diy.com/LATFET.htm, $10 for the pair ain't bad, plus doing business with people in singapore can be interesting... Stuart |

Just for reference, I believe I read in Randy Slones "High-Power Audio Amplifier Construction Manual" that the Hitachi L-MOSFETS do not need to be matched. Is this true?
I asked because the website above sells matched pairs for a little higher price. Thanks |

I don't have a good answer for you, sorry.
You might want to start another thread asking this question, or perhaps try searching. Stuart |

Hi all,
Rapid sell 162/1058 as a pair at reasonable price in UK. Don't know if they supply overseas. regards Andrew T. |
