You're not alone there Andrew. Sometimes I don't feel quite right checking the 'searched' box when starting a thread, but I can't reasonably do much better.

The best way I have found to search is to use Google with "site:diyaudio.com" at the end of my search string. </threadhijack>

There is always pros and cons. The search function should mean good but sometimes it does bad. You seach for a certain key word and it returns you a thread that has 6000 reply posts (sorry bra, you are the man). How are you going to find you 'needle in that hawstack' ?
