I make guitar pedals, and need to find an alternate source for 16mm alpha pots with round shafts (not knurled or D type) and must be solderlug type, not PCB
here's a pic of what they look like Unfortunately all i can find is linear. I do have a regular source for them, but they are closed until the end of the month, and are also out of them... so im looking at about sepember before i see them. I could use another brand, but mounting would have to be the same, and i need to be able to buy them for under $1 in quantities of either 10 or 50. Please help. thanks |

Use linear pots and put a reisitor of about 50K between the wiper and ground. Experiment a bit until you find the taper you want. This assumes the pot is being used as a 3 terminal variable voltage divider and that your drive circuit can handle a varying load impedance.
