Mount for snap-in cap

If I don't have a base for it, I either stick it in a hole and solder it to the chassis (folding the tabs over onto the steel chassis and using 140W of soldering gun, or a small propane torch) or mount it with a strip of steel wrapping around it.

You could do worse than using the mounts sold for computer grade caps. Could give an industrial touch if mounted topside or you might prefer the short, recessed look of the cap, using one on the underside.

In the old amps the tabs went through slots punched in the chassis and were twisted. The tabs locked it in place. Hence, twist-lock.
