Resistor Ohmic values

Hello, I am knee deep in building my first amp kit. If they call out some of the ohmic values in resistors that are "non standard" to the EIA tables can you correct to the standard value. In example, one design calls out a 820ohm 1% value. But the standard EIA 1% value is 825ohm. Can you "fudge" over to the standard values?

Here is how its done: You require 820 ohms. Standard is 825 Ohms, +-1%. Do the math - 1% of 820 ohms is 8.2 - Therefor, you can go with 830.2 or 812.2 - 1% either way. If you go with the 825, it figures out at 817.25 and 833.25, all within tolerance.
