so here is is again!.. sorry!.. ![]() " Help!.. need to source amp IC! I've looked everywhere, well all that I know!.. I have a JVC KD-S611 car stereo with a nackered amp. Everything else works, I just need a replacement IC. The device number is Hitachi part HA13158A and is in a 23 pin tagged sil package. I have tried to bodge a TDA8568Q device into the output stage, which I salvaged from another broken car stereo, however I think that one might be a bit dodgy!! coz it doesn't bloomin work!! Both devices have the same package, however different pin configurations. This isn't a problem. If anyone could either supply, or point me in the right direction for either device, but preferably the original Hitachi amp, I would be eternally grateful!.. Cheers, Alex." If there's an equivalent available, I'd love to know!.. Thanks again... |

Just recently changed one of those.
This Hitachi-IC is pin-compatible with these: Pin to pin with HA13153A/HA13154A/HA13155/HA13157/HA13158 Have you searched with google? YouŽll find the datasheet and a few shops that sell that IC.

Thanks for that.. I already have the data sheet for both devices, however I'm still having trouble sourcing this device in the UK!..
Will I have to mail order it from the USA?.. Is there anywhere in the UK who can supply small quantities of these.. I only need 1!! not 1000... Thanks again...

Thanks 316a! At last a "local" company to deal with!...
Both Cricklewood and Grandata have both devices in stock... I guess I'd better go for the original Hitachi chip amp, coz the PCB's designed for it... Is there a better amp I could use without too much bodging, or is this a pretty good device ?.. I dunno, open to suggestions... |
