Hello all
I am trying to learn all this tube amp stuff and have finally decided to go out and buy a few odd and ends that i may be able to learn from.the least i will learn is how different components are put together.i really don't want to spend alot of money on valuble components when i don't know what i am doing. So i woke up this morning to a beautiful sunny day and as usual was asked to go out to the garage sales, this time i actually went.and i have found a few interesting subjects to take apart. I came across three peices two are identical. Here is what they are as far as i can tell. the two that i found together are labled:LH research Dyna-MITE input:504VA 42-56VDC output:28V,9A there are two adjusters on the front, one says V the other says I. inside are 2 small transformers and two matched pairs of big mallory capacitors. the other peice i found was a DC power supply(very freekin heavy),on the front it has four sets of binding post they read as follows +12VDC,-12VDC,+15VDC and -15VDC.Inside i found two matched pairs of LAMBDA regulated power supplys.both have fairly heavy transformers and very big Lambda capacitors(at least to my eyes),with one adjustment for VDC. The larger of them is labled:input 105-132V 57-63Hz Max rating 9.5A@40C 8.6A@50C 7.4A@60C 4.8A@71C with the adjuster :15+-5%VDC the smaller says:input 105-127 VAC or 210-250VAC}47-63Hz 255W MAX 12+-5%MAX rating 8.5A@40C 7.2A@50C 5.9A@60C 4.2A@71C the adjuster just says VDC. Now the question,What the hell are these things, what are they for and finally can i figure out what these transformers are with no lables,I just realized that the smaller power supply has a lable but still nothing i recognize. any help would be greatly appreciated, even if all you can tell me is what one of these numbers makes reference to. thanks all YOSH |

Please move to SS. 50V has no place here.
![]() Some nice equipment though, I'd be glad to take that useless junk off your hands...(hint hint) ![]() Tim
