Hi all,
I'm looking for some transformers, preferably not too expensive Surplus or second hand is OK, but there's not much choice on ebay. Do any of you have a good adress?

Hi Bricolo,
I bought a toroid at Reichelt last month, good prices i think. 800VA for close to €56,-. Never had much luck finding something I needed secondhand (transformers that is). Greetings, Jarno.

Yes, Reichelt has good prices on the toroids.
BTW, how much S&H did you have to pay? |

Hi Bricolo,
I had a look at the proforma quote I got from them, and it's not quite clear but I think it's €22,50 + VAT so together that would be something like €25,-. Of course I ordered not just the transformer but also some other stuff, the transformer was the heaviest bit in the order though (and it's huge!). It's a shame their minimumorder amount is a bit stiff. Greetings, Jarno.

Hi,
J&N Factors of Bolney, Sussex, UK usually have a wide range of surplus transformers (and all sorts of other stuff, including silver plated / PTFE wire) at silly prices. It's a bit of an 'eccentric' company, but they've been going for years. Shipping might cost a bit, but they offer a discount to callers at their warehouse if you fancied a trip over. Phone (01444)881965 and discuss your requirements with Mr. Bull. |

I didn't know Trafoshop, very nice website indeed. Too bad their price are about 150% of reichelts'
Dnsey, I guess that J&N store hasn't got a website? Greetings, Jarno.
