Two reasons:
Different specifications will mean they don't share the load current evenly, and
If some of the transistors are faulty, then it can be assumed that the resultant surge when this occurred has put undue stress on the remaining units. Therefore thay are more prone to premature failure (meaning the set should be replaced even if the same type is used).
