Default HELP!!! I am trying to build a bass level control

I am trying to build a bass level control for my sub. My HU doesn't have a subwoofer level control and I must say that the bass just is't hitting like it should. I have 2 xplod 12" subs and a sony xplod amp (I know I know, waste of money) running from a sony xplode deck. the deck has no sub controls and only 2 preamps. I want to build a level control so that I can control the level of the bass. I don't want to just attenuate though, I want to be able to sort of amplify the volume of the low frequencies (15db at least) so that I can get the sort of output I want from the amp and subs without having to increase the bass on the HU and ruin my 3-way speakers.

Hi
Try the attached circuit just before the amp input
C2 and R2 are used to help to keep the circuit stable

I've posted the circuit again as it had a resistor missing (R6).

For an explantion of how this type of circuit works, have a look at the following page - http://sound.westhost.com/project28.htm
