any idea about quality or how old they could be?

As I recall, Philips made such caps, and they where quite expencive at that time.....

Those are excellent Philips encapsulated polystyrene caps. 1% tolerance, 63V. Slight drawback is their non standard pin out.... They were expensive indeed ! I have a quantity of 442 pF and 21 nF of the same type and they are real good.
Age is at least 10 to 15 years but never mind, they don't age ( encapsulated = can't go wrong ).

generally, the styroflex are good for... PSU? bypassing? bypassing coupling caps? |

Those yellow KS are nonmagnetic, I have them too.
The blue KP are magnetic, those which are found in all kind of Philips Marantz players in the output filter stage. Worth to change them ??? |
