Motorised pot controller

I want to replace the volume control with a motorised potentiometer, so that I can adjust volume from my sitting position.
Where can I find information and circuit for controlling the motor of the pot?

What do you think about electronic potentiometer with an ordinary IR pilot as a remote control?

The project looks like:
- 1 x PGA 2310PA or 2 x PGA 2310PA for XLR input
- source selector with preamps and buffers
- PLED display
- ATMega 8535-PI microcontroller with voltage&temperature measurement mode.

Unfortunatelly the whole thread is in polish

but some parts of it, like PCBs and schematics, are clear for DIYers worldwide.
The project is driven by veteran@op.pl
