I need about 8 of these,
with a 5mm cap, 3mm dia shaft, why are they so incredibly hard to get hold of in the UK? Anyone know a good supplier?
Amazon stuff seems to be coming from hong kong, I ordered some and they are the wrong size and took about a month to arrive, can't wait another month!

I've bought them from CPC in the past, though I'm not sure they're exactly the right size for you. Otherwise try one of the big fastener vendors like Allscrews or Strassacker: Lautsprecher - Boxen - Selbstbau.
Cap Head Woodscrews Looks like they are unavailable at the moment, but you can ask when they expect to restock. Otherwise 100% reliable supplier over several years for me, so happy to recommend
