Hi everybody,
I'm brand new to this forum, and I hope you can help me. I have a Counterpoint Sa220 power amp that was upgraded by Mike Elliott (owner of the now defunct Counterpoint) a few years ago. Tonite I upgraded the output capacitors ro a pair of .1 mf Dynamicaps and tried a few nos tubes. While doing this, I thought maybe I'd change the bridge rectifier over to a hexfred type. However, I am not very educated on how to cross over components. I know the bridge I currently have is CM3504, 400V 35A High Current with 4 pins. Could anybody tell me if there is a drop in replacement or the closest thing? I have been researching for a couple of hours, and the closest I came was a VBE26-06N07 44 amp 600 V bridge. Also, can anybody tell me the best (cheapest!) place to obtain these? I am familiar with Michael Percy and not much else. Thanks a lot for any info, and I look forward to reading the old posts and learning a lot from this site.--------Greg--------- |
