Thinking of changing the opamps on my Marantz CD52 MKII SE CD player. Currently they are JRC2114 type.
Can anyone recommend a 'drop in' (not too much work) replacement for these? I'm considering OPA2134, LM6172 (if I can get hold of some in the UK!) or maybe AD825. Don't mind making some changes with components but would like to know what I'll need to change. Many Thanks Paul |

OK, no suggestions so far. Well having dug a bit deeper it seems that the pin out of the 825 is different although the AD826 may be an option.
The LM6172 appears to have the right pin out and is now my preference, but I'd welcome any advice on avoiding oscillations as seems to have been the case for some installations. Has anyone successfully installed it into a Marantz CD52 SE and if so what do I need to remove/add? Answers on a postcard....... |
