Question 2sc5200/2sa1943/2sd2061/2sb1369 on semi sub, or upgrades?

hi, would anyone happen to know any on semi. equals, or upgrades to these devices. i don't quite trust myself trying to interpret the specs safely enough to match outputs and drivers together. thanks for any help, crippledchicken

The 5200 and 1943's can be safely subbed to ON's MJW3281A and MJW1302A.

These are 230vCE 200 watts devices.

hi K-amps, thanks for the response. my main ps. caps are rated at 71v. so i guess the mjl3281/mjl1302 should work no problem. would the mjl4281a/mjl4302a work, and be an upgrade? or would the drivers i have now 2sd2061/2sb1369 maybe not have enough drive. i realize alot may be circuit dependent. thanks alot, crippledchicken

The MJL4302's have better gain and Ft but they are pricey. I don't know who stocks them.

Also at your Vce levels, the SOAR of the 1302/3281 may be as good or better... you need to verify this with the datasheets.

www.arrow.com has them - at $5.85 and $6.05 each. they list the 1302/1309 at $2.39 and $2.34 respectively. That's a big price delta for a small potential performance increase.
