Hi
I read that the voltage for the AD8620 is +-5 to +-13V, but I would like to use it for replacing some opamps which work with +-15V Do you think I will run into problems with this? Will it blow? Do you have any recommandation for a good dual opamp? Any other idea? Thanks |

I think that OPA2604 fulfils your expectation. Look at Analog Devices home page for data & application notes

I have used AD8610 in my QRV-04 headphone amp for a year now at +- 15 volts and it still works. I'll think it will work to 94.36% certainty.
My opinion about AD8610, 8620 is

I have used OPA604 as a driver followed by four pairs of 2SC3944/2SA1535 transistors working in my A class headphone amp. It sounds really great. Due to the large output current OPA604 works very efficiently in output stages. When you need less efficient op-amp try OPA132. Both op-amps are similar in terms of the sonic quality.
Some information about sonic quality of the most popular op-amps you find below. http://tangentsoft.net/audio/opamps.html |

great link... thank you very much I will use them just after the DAC, so I don't know if your case is the same with mine. What do you think? |

A kind of op-amp used is determined by an application. In The First MkII, which is a DIY DAC, in the output stages (after DAC unit which comes from Crystal) OPA637 and BUF634 op-amps are used and good sound was obtained.

I had some 2604 to play with, and compared them to OPA2132P in +-15V environment.
I like OPA2132P better. More details... Maybe this has something to do with the high gain for the OPA2132P. Anyone experienced something similar? |
