Hi all,
for my DIY tube project, I'd like to use the best sounding capacitors and resistors in the project. But I'm confused with some prices, like the Audio Note 2W Tantalum resistors. I don't know, if they're worth the money, since there're some other 1-2% resistors at 1/100 the price of the AN ones. So, at first, I was looking for some "high-end" resistors, which are also priced well. Finally I got to Beyschlag . I found out that they only sell parts via Vishay. I went then to Vishay Hungary and ordered a price list from them. And there's the point. They only sell these resistors in amounts of 4000 pcs. or more. So, there should be a minimum quantity order. But I actually need 44 pieces of them, see schematics (my next posting). 2 monoblocks, 22 resistors each. Could you help me with this thing..? I gut stucked at this point. I cannot find any sellers or resellers, who would ship so few resistors to Europe. Not mentioned the quality of these - I couldn't find other brands at the same quality. Price could increase some... but I don't want the other end, the AN-prices. They're stupidly high, I think. Second question: same thing with capacitors, except, that I didn't even find any capacitor manufacturer with low inductivity, long life, high voltage and low abbreviation from the nominal values. (About 1-2 %). So, still any idea on where I could start my buying ? Links, urls, contacts, private offers are welcome. Schematics follows, if needed. Just to understand, what and where. (If something's wrong or you would change, let me know in private message please!) Thanks for the help. |

Try partsconnexion.com (Canada). I'm from Croatia and I ordered from them few times in the past year. They are very reliable. Last time I ordered I recieved nicely wrapped package of Black Gates, AN Tantalums and Rikens in about 10 days. They are not very expensive comparing to others. You can ask them to undervalue your package (for customs purposes) and not to put the invoice inside the package.
Hope it helps! |
