mains voltage fluctuating to much here on our area. any possible solutions to overcome this. thanks for your help.

Have you considered something like a constant voltage transformer? They are also sometimes called boot buck transformers.
These guys posted a nice schematic: http://www.aelgroup.co.uk/hb/hb511.htm Two secondary, as the primary voltage fluctuates the output of the secondary averages their values. |

the easy way is to get a generator of your own and mount a better muffler on the thing --
occasionally there will be Sorensen and Hewlett Packard AC constant voltage sources on EBay -- these can run from a few hundred dollars to many thousands. here in New Jersey we have Third World Electric Co. as our supplier -- inthe summer the voltage can range from 102 to 127 VAC. |
