Attn Londoners.

Are there any retail outlets in central London where I can buy quality components, e.g. precision MF resistors, film caps and the like? I want to exploit my short stay there next week, as I can't get any of the good stuff here and international postage costs big $$$.

There is a large electronics store on Edgeware Road near the Post Office. I can't remember the name of it but if you walk down there you will see it - they have a guy in the back who sells caps, resistors, etc. There is also a Tandy or Maplins (can't remeber which) nearby on the same road who may be able to help you.

This one doesn't seem to be too far away from the centre:

Maplin has a branch office in Edgware road and Tottenham court road:

BTW: Foyle's in Charing Cross Road carries a lot of books on electronics.
