Default LM309K, LM320K, LM340K - worth keeping?

I'm scavenging some parts and came across these regulators. I was going to get rid of them until I noticed their price ($30+). Are they superior in some way that I should hold on to them? They come in standard metal cans and typical values 5v, 12v, -12v.

They are just voltage regulators, no reason you can't use them in place of more modern packages, if you need regulators.

If they are SELLING for $30, slap them on ebay and get what you can get. Then you can buy new 7812s for 50 cents each, if you later need some.

Yes.. eBay is good.. A lot of people and company's need obsolete parts for repair and are worth more than you might think.
